Mentoring and empowerment for female Master or Staatsexamen students who are interested in pursuing a doctorate.

Duration

12 months (new from 2026/27 instead of the previous 9 months)

Application period

Next application period is October/November 2026 for the program start in February 2027 (Round 2027/28).

Timeline

We start in February with preparing the mentees for their role, team building within the group, and finalizing the matching of the mentoring tandems. Once the matching with a mentor has been completed, the individual mentoring can begin (following the role preparation). The program duration is 12 months and starts with the respective kickoff date.

Mentoring and empowerment for PhD candidates, postdocs and W1 professors who are pursuing an academic career.

Duration

18 months (program round 2027/28)

Application period

Next application period is July – September 2026 for the program start in February 2027 (Round 2027/28).

Timeline

From the end of November/beginning of December 2026, we will start team building within the new group as well as preparing the mentees for their future role. Once the matching process with a mentor has been completed, the individual mentoring phase can begin following the role preparation.

At the beginning of 2027, a first career workshop for the Doc/Postdoc+ group is expected to take place. The official kickoff event will then be held — slightly later than usual — together with the launch of the new Master’s group in February 2027.

Outlook

From the program starts in 2028* on, a flexible mentoring duration of 12 or 24 months is planned, with an annual entry option (applications accepted from December, program starts annually in May).
